Job Description
Provides technical guidance, engineering support and studies regarding the maintenance, design and emergency response activities for all of PSE&G’s gas transmission pipeline and high pressure distribution lines. Advises and collaborates with MAST Associates in performing activities concerning pipeline integrity operations and maintenance and organizes results in conformance with PSE&G’s Pipeline Integrity Plan. Assures emergency readiness for pipeline outages, and assists in managing pipeline ROW, asset encroachment issues, and in hosting government audits concerning Pipeline Integrity Plan compliance. Responsible for managing pipeline GIS Data repository, update of HCA information, and implementation of security measures concerning the safeguarding of physical pipeline facilities. Uses Corrosion expertise to interpret pipeline test data results, including internal in line inspections and external direct assessment. Organize, document and improve the techniques of compliance with the regulatory obligations of the Corrosion Control Program for the PSE&G Gas Distribution System. Collaborate to improve the training, knowledge and performance of the Corrosion Technicians. Manage reporting and control of dated workload and established performance criteria for steel assets. Apply Corrosion and industry expertise to find opportunities to improve steel asset performance and test new technologies and instrumentation that can improve PSE&G’s methods of achieving asset performance goals. Required: BS in Engineering, knowledge of the gas utility industry and pipeline / underground corrosion experience, experience in data gathering and analysis.

Desired: Prior experience supervising pipeline repair activities and knowledge of smart pigging and interpretation of typical pipeline integrity survey methods. Interest in technical detail of corrosion testing, organized and accurate in work methods with excellent written skills. PE, NACE certification. This is a safety sensitive position.
